Meet the Team

We look forward to hearing from you and are happy to coordinate with your trainer or veterinarian to ensure that your horse gets the best treatment available.

  • Katie Rogers | Founder and Equine Physiotherapist

Katie Rogers is an Equine Physiotherapist, having qualified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist and an Animal Physiotherapist, at The College of Animal Physiotherapists in Buckinghamshire. She established a thriving and success business visiting clients’ yards before setting up the rehabilitation centre at Willow Brook Farm.

Over the years, Katie has owned different horses and competed in local dressage. Her previous horses having had hock and stifle issues and needing specific care and work to gain strength. The vast amount of knowledge and confidence that Katie has gained over the years means that she is well equipped to help horses recover and return to work.

Katie has a keen interest in Kissing Spine cases and has helped to rehab several horses through from diagnosis to vet sign off. Her passion and motivation for opening the rehabilitation centre, was to offer that direct support, guidance and expertise to clients and their horses as they journey through rehabilitation of Kissing Spines. Although there is no guarantee that any horse will make a full recovery from this condition but the rehabilitation is 50% of the outcome and recovery. Katie has the drive to ensure that the best possible opportunity is offered to every horse she works with.

  • Lucy Baker | Yard Manager

Lucy Baker is Katie’s niece and offers a wealth of knowledge after being involved with horses since a very young girl and gaining valuable experience in the day to day care of horses.

Lucy decided that a life working with horses was what she wanted to do and graduated from Shuttleworth Equestrian College with one Distinction and two Distinction *’s in Equine Management, which covered many areas of the equine industry. She is also qualified in Equine First Aid for her role within Sky Equine Rehabilitation.

Having a calm nature around horses is really important and this is where Lucy’s biggest asset lies. She is very quiet around horses and they quickly learn to trust her. This is invaluable for her role at the rehabilitation centre as she provides the day to day care for the horses in residence and also provides backup care for Katie on the rehabilitation and recovery of the horses.

Lucy’s focus is always around providing a top class service and care to all her horses and gains a lot of pleasure in seeing them do well with their dreams and aspirations.
